Range Rules
To maintain good order and our reputation, the Club will NOT
tolerate the following from its members or guests:
Ø Unsafe behavior;
Ø
Abusive behavior and/or language;
Ø Arguing with RO, MD, RM or match staff
Ø Vandalism of the range property
Ø Possession of alcohol or drugs
We have ZERO tolerance for these types of behavior. You will be escorted off
the property and you may be banned from using this facility.
In
addition the following rules apply:
The range is for the
exclusive use by the club members, their guests and other authorized
organizations.
Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests.
Each member is provided with a code to the range lock for the member's own
use and convenience. The code must not be disclosed to non-members.
This is
a cold range and no gun shall be in a loaded condition except when on the firing
line, facing down range. The exception to this rule shall be during matches
requiring holstered guns, which are loaded only on order of the range officer.
USPSA safety rules will be observed at all times.
Safety glasses and
hearing protection must be worn while on the range property.
During
organized competitive events weapons will remain bagged or holstered except when
on the firing line.
Safe areas are provided for un-bagging and holstering.
Do not holster or un-bag weapons in the parking area or rest areas. NO AMMO
ALLOWED in the safe area per USPSA rules!
During organized competitive
events children under age 12 must be supervised by an adult (18 or over) who is
NOT competing in the event.
Organized competitive shooting and scheduled
events shall take precedence over all other activities. During such times, the
range shall be under management and control of the event director.
The range
will be closed during all scheduled events. Exceptions may be made only with the
consent of the event director.
The use of armor piercing, tracer or
incendiary ammunition is prohibited.
Except at such times when a match or
other organized activity is in progress, each member is responsible for locking
the gate when entering or leaving the range.
Under no circumstances should
the falling plates or steel targets be shot with anything other than handguns or
shotguns with shot, nor should range improvements, props or barricades be used
as target frames. Each shooter must clean up their firing area and deposit all
used targets and trash in the proper receptacles before leaving the range.
All club equipment must be properly stored after use.
